KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 12): Tropicana Corp Bhd unveiled West Lake, the first part of its 16-acre Central Park at the heart of the Tropicana Heights township in Kajang, on Aug 8, 2015.

“It’s great seeing people come together, family bonding and having a blast at our Central Park. We are thrilled to receive such encouraging response,” said Tropicana Corp’s head of marketing and sales Ung Lay Ting in a press release today.

She said the park is the biggest in Kajang, featuring a 750m-linear lake, seamless pedestrian walkways, jogging tracks, bicycle tracks, and its very own recreational and commercial hub, amid a landscape comprising the site’s original trees that were retained and transplanted.

Tropicana Heights is a guarded-and-gated township development that sprawls 199 acres of freehold land.

The group has launched two phases of development — Fairfield and Parkfield — on February 2014 and March 2015, respectively.

Fairfield consists of 198 units of 2-storey and 91 units of 3-storey terraced houses, which sits on a 25-acre tract while Parkfield comprises 327 units of 2-storey and 144 units of 3-storey terraced houses that sit on 48 acres land.

Fairfield and Parkfield are expected to be completed on the first quarter 2016 and 2018, respectively.

To celebrate the opening of the park, Tropicana Corp had a two-day “Summer Carnival” event with games and activities such as bicycle rides, mug painting, henna tattoos and bubble art demonstration.

The event attracted more than 1,500 participants.
