In other words, the funds in the YAB account were used for the personal enrichment of [Zahid] and for the benefit of a person or persons with whom Akalbudi has no connection or interest.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Datuk Raja Rozela Raja Toran contended that there was ample evidence to find that Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had dishonestly misappropriated YAB property entrusted to him. "All evidence points to a plain and obvious conclusion that the funds belonging to YAB had been used for a purpose other than what was intended.”

Shafee's lawyer Sarah Abishegam informed Justice Datuk Muhammad Jamil Hussin that counsel Harvinderjit Singh had to attend the funeral of his master (his mentor before he was called to the Bar).

The date was fixed by Judicial Commissioner Quay Chew Soon during case management on Monday.

The witnesses included Rosmah’s former staff Datuk Rizal Mansor, former education minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, and the ministry's former secretaries-general Tan Sri Madinah Mohamad and Datuk Seri Alias Ahmad.

Testifying in the cross-examination of her graft trial on questions by former Federal Court judge Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram, who was appointed a senior deputy public prosecutor, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor said she did not notice if the past prime minister's wife bore the title of First Lady

Substituted Service is an indirect method available to serve court papers when personal service is not possible. 

Rosmah said the recording was a private conversation between her and her husband.

Rosmah added that action should also have been taken on Rizal and Saidi over their roles and offences, but the prosecution preferred to call them as witnesses instead of prosecuting them.

Rosmah, in her testimony of her defence in the graft trial, said Rayyan who was the 16th prosecution witness also agreed that Rizal liked name dropping.
