Seremban has recorded 136 confirmed infections since the start of the second phase of the Movement Control Order on April 1 (124 cases), making it the red zone with the fourth-highest number of confirmed infections in Malaysia.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah revealed that the index case, patient No. 4,688, in the cluster has a traveling history to Bali, Indonesia. The person had close contact with his brother, patient No. 1,575 patient, who has died of Covid-19.

Patient No. 1,575 had infected seven persons in the second generation, and 11 individuals in the third generation.

One more death was reported today, raising the death toll to 77.

Lembah Pantai continues to be the district with the highest number of confirmed infections in Peninsular Malaysia — 496 cases — and there are 247 new confirmed infections since April 1.

This means that the red zones have expanded further in the Klang Valley, where there are now 11 health districts with more than 40 confirmed Covid-19 positive cases.
