Rafizi Ramli: I am not coming back to politics

PETALING JAYA (Dec 10): Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-president and former lawmaker for Pandan Razifi Ramli (pictured) has announced via social media that he does not want to get back to the political arena.

"It’s obvious I tweeted because I am making it clear I am not coming back to politics.

"It’s the stage of my life when I need to learn. Only through learning, we can be better and contribute better.

"Excited to focus on AI, machine learning and IoT - see what I found last week," Razifi wrote in a Twitter posting yesterday.

Razifi, famous for his whistleblowing exploits, especially when he revealed the bank account details involving National Feedlot Corp (NFC) and its chairman Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Salleh Ismail, seems to be more interested in the new field.

But he could not avoid being philosophical.

“Was in Taiwan for a business trip and the subject of favourite political quotation came out.

Mine is Roosevelt’s Man In The Arena:

"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better,” Razifi wrote in another tweet also dated Dec 9.

As Twitter could not accommodate the ex-US president Theodore Roosevelt's famous speech in just one posting, Razifi had to make a few tweets also on Dec 9 for his followers to read it.

As for the NFC case, he tweeted on Dec 6:

“Attorney General has filed an appeal to reverse the High Court’s decision on BAFIA in NFC case.

“I hope he is as diligent to bring to justice the ex-minister’s family members who benefited from the RM250m.

“None of them has been charged in court so far.”

Rafizi did not mention any details about his membership in PKR.
