91.4% of Malaysia's adult population fully vaccinated as of Oct 15

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 16): A total of 91.4% of the adult population of Malaysia or 21,399,802 grown-ups had completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of Friday (Oct 15).

According to the Ministry of Health’s data on the COVIDNOW portal, they were among 95.1% of the adult population or 22,260,137 grown-ups who had received at least one dose of the vaccine.

A total of 174,732 doses of the vaccine were dispensed on Friday, involving both the adult and adolescent populations.

This brought the cumulative number of doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) since Feb 24 to 46,633,404.

As for teenagers aged 12 to 17 years, 20.2% or 637,079 of them had completed their vaccination. They were among 77.5% of the age group or 2,439,727 adolescents who had received at least the first dose of the vaccine since the PICK programme for them was launched on Sept 8.
