PETALING JAYA (March 22): About 4,000 households in Bandar Bukit Raja celebrated Earth Hour together with the developer, Sime Darby Property Bhd, last Saturday.

According to the statement released by the developer today, the event was supported by the township’s resident associations.

“This event gave residents the opportunity to be part of a global effort in energy conservation and preservation of the planet, with the aim of creating a far-reaching environmental and social impact,” it said.

The developer added that the residents also took the opportunity to mingle with their neighbours and strengthen ties among members of the community.

“Sime Darby Property is progressively delivering its promises by embedding sustainability in business practices, corporate culture and through a range of focused sustainability initiatives to reach out to its communities.

“The recent Earth Hour celebration in Bandar Bukit Raja extends this effort by creating an avenue for residents to contribute towards the wellness of the planet and their community,” the developer said.
