BANGKOK: Hotellier Best Western International, for the fifth consecutive year, has been awarded the title of Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand during the 22nd Annual TTG Travel Awards 2011.
Since the introduction of the Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand award in 2007, Best Western has been the only company to clinch the title.
The chain also won the title of Best Marketing & Development Effort of the Year, an award the chain is receiving for the third straight year.
The awards ceremony was held recently at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Conventions Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
According to Best Western vice president of international operations for Asia & Middle East Glenn de Souza, it was an honour to be selected as winners this year around.
"Being selected as winners for these awards year after year is a true honour, and each year it is a more rewarding achievement for the chain. This is a significant success for us as it never get easier to win these titles. Every year the level of competition increases so does our commitment to our guests and the travel and tourism industry," he said.
Dubbed the world's largest hotel chain, Best Western provides marketing, reservations and operational support to over 4,000 independently owned and operated member hotels in over 90 countries worldwide.
