KUALA TERENGGANU: The Terengganu government is to resolve problems associated with land applications immediately through the e-Mohon system installed at the Lands and Mines Office, Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said said here.

He said e-Mohon was a computer process which expedited applications by way of democraticising land distribution to the landless.

"Numerous applications for land are received from the people and, as such, there is a delay in processing. We established the e-Mohon system to expedite the process.

"Besides, we want to know whether those who apply for [agricultural] land, work their land or we will not give them the land," he said after closing the "Juara Rakyat" [Champion of the People] programme for the Kuala Nerus parliamentary constituency at Felda Chalok, here on March 4.

At the event, 179 applicants were given agricultural land and housing lots. -- Bernama
