IPOH: Superboom Projects Sdn Bhd, the developer of The Haven — an upscale leasehold condominium development in Ipoh, Perak — celebrated the completion of the first of three towers recently with over 600 guests including purchasers, government officials, VIPs and friends.

Officiating the event on the evening of Feb 1 was the Regent of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah and the Raja Puan Besar of Perak Tuanku Zara Salim.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce and celebrate the completion of Tower Acacia together with all its supporting amenities including the club house, swimming pool and jogging track,” said Peter Chan, Superboom Projects CEO, at the event held at The Haven.

He added that about 85% of the entire three-tower development has been sold and that Acacia has been completed well ahead of the expected date of mid-2013.  The units in the first block of The Haven were launched in early 2010 at RM330 psf. They are now going for as high as RM628 psf today. Maintenance fees are 22 sen psf for the first 1,000 sq ft, 16 sen for the second 1,000 sq ft and 12 sen psf for anything above that.

The completion of the other two towers, Banyan and Cycas, is expected in August which is about six months ahead of schedule, Chan said.

The Haven is a 10-acre (4.47ha) leasehold project of 489 luxury condo units spread over three blocks. The development has a gross development value (GDV) of RM280 million.  Buyers can choose from 13 layouts with built-ups from 893 sq ft to 5,500 sq ft.

Green features at the condo include the use of solar and wind powered energy, LED lighting in common areas, inverter-type airconditioning units and energy efficient water heaters in all units. Eco-friendly building materials were also used in the construction of the project.

The completion of the other two towers, Banyan and
Cycas, is expected in August.

Facilities include five-tier security, swimming pool, tennis, squash and badminton courts, landscaped jogging track and gardens, gym, spa, jacuzzi and steam bath. It also has its own business centre, clubhouse, conference and meeting facilities.

The Haven is sited next to a four-acre lake with a 280 million-year-old limestone outcrop called Rockhaven. The development is also located close to Sunway Group Bhd’s Banjaran Hot Springs, The Lost World of Tambun and Sunway City Ipoh.

The developer has also appointed premier hotel management group Best Western International to manage The Haven where owners can have their units managed as hotel suites.

Superboom Projects had earlier developed the 576-unit Permai Lake View Apartments with a GDV of RM32 million near The Haven and Subang Galaxy — a series of 175 terraced homes in Subang 2, Shah Alam, with a GDV of RM60 million.
