KUALA LUMPUR: All 102 units of The Grove semi-detached homes at YTL Land & Development Bhd's Lake Fields township in Sungei Besi were sold in two days last weekend.

The Grove, with a land area of 14.98 acres and a gross development value of RM200 million, is the third phase of homes in Lake Fields. All units were sold out on the second day of preview on June 25 ahead of a scheduled launch in July. Some interested buyers camped for days before the preview outside the sales office to be first in line when the preview sales began, the developer said in a press release recently.

YTL Land executive director Datuk Yeoh Seok Kian said, "We knew the interest in Grove was high as more than 1,500 people registered their interest. But we certainly didn't expect a sell-out in just two days of its public debut.

"This clearly shows Lake Fields' popularity as a modern, spacious residential development, coupled with Sungei Besi's strategic location that is well-connected with multiple highways and public transport, is in high demand," he added.

Prices for the leasehold three-storey semi-detached homes started from RM1.8 million. The units come in two built-up sizes — 4,300 sq ft and 5,900 sq ft Some units came with sky gardens and lifts. The master suite feature a private terrace or outdoor shower.

Launched in 2005, the first phase of Lake Fields, known as Meadows & Glades, was snapped up overnight. All 514 units of the three-storey link-homes sold at more than RM380,000 per unit. The second phase, known as Dale, sold out all its units ahead of its launch. Dale comprises 343 three-storey semi-detached homes ranging from RM638,800 to RM1.33 million.

Yeoh added that the positive response was in appreciation of YTL Land's track record of delivering branded homes with highly unique concepts. According to a spokesperson from YTL Land, Lake Field's next phase would be Reed comprising three-storey terraced homes. It will be launched end of this year.
