KUALA LUMPUR: GHU Holdings Bhd has entered into a preliminary agreement with the Development General Company of Jiangsu Gaochun Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Province to construct a 180 million yuan (RM83.43 million) water treatment plant that will treat 100 million litres per day, the group announced on Tuesday, Jan 4.

Under the preliminary agreement, the group said that its wholly-own subsidiary GUH International (HK) Private Limited (GUHHK) will undertake the construction of the plant on a Build-Operate-Transfer basis and the project will be implemented in two phases.

In the meantime, GUHHK will conduct feasibility studies on the project within a six month period from the date of the agreement. Upon completion of the studies, details of the concession agreement including tariffs, cost of investment and so on are subject to negotiation, the group said.

GUH Holdings is an investment holding company that engages in electronic, electrical, property development, plantation, and power generation businesses.
