HUA HIN (Feb 8): Hotel de la Paix Am Beach Hua Hin, a contemporary lifestyle resort in Thailand was awarded a Gold Circle Award after being voted by travellers as one of the top 25 trendiest resorts in the country on the online travel site Trip Advisor.

Nigel Tovay, general manager of Hotel de la Paix Am Beach Hua Hin, said in a statement on Wednesday, "It is an honour to be recognised as one of the hottest hotels in Thailand. It means even more as it is the consumers' voting so we know we are providing the guests with what they want."

The resort is located close to the historical town of Hua Hin and it's beachfront overlooks the Gulf of Thailand. It features 79 themed rooms, including horizon room, garden terrace rooms and pool villas each designed as a personal retreat amid lush tropical lawns and beautifully designed pools. Each room has large open spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows and is influenced by Thai designs.

The resort was designed by Thai architect Duangrit Bunnag which showcases a modern and tropical design creating a sanctuary that promotes peace and serenity while showcasing art.

Facilities offered by the resort include a wellness centre, kids-free Chill Pool, Active Pool and Spa Indochine. The resort has two signature restaurant; Clouds Loft that serves an array of international dishes with a Mediterranean twist and Motion, an all-day dining featuring Thai and international cuisine.

The resort is a two-hour drive from Bangkok.

The hotel is part of a resort chain that includes Hotel de la Paix Cha Am in Thailand and Hotel de la Paix Luang Prabang in Laos and is affiliated with 3 Nagas, a boutique hotel and restaurant offering first class facilities and services.
