SHAH ALAM: The latest phases of 2-storey terraced houses in I&P Group Sdn Bhd’s Alam Impian township in Shah Alam launched during the Nov 21 weekend were fully sold in two days.

The queue began as early as 6.30am on the first day of the launch of Canting 2 and Nukilan 2. By the end of the day, 80% of the 174 units available have been sold. By the end of the following day, the remaining units were taken up as well.

The homes are tagged between RM419,769 and RM1.02 million, with built-ups of 2,467 sq ft to 4,410 sq ft.

"The launch of our new phases underscores our confidence in the market. The township is shaping up fast and we are receiving encouraging responses from the market as they see the township develop. As Alam Impian matures, we are confident that discerning home owners will seek out this township that is modern, self-contained and offers a distinct difference," said I&P Group chief operating officer Datuk Roszali Othman at the launch.

According to the developer, some buyers from its other projects such as Bandar Kinrara in Puchong were also among buyers in Alam Impian. It also noticed an increase of non-bumiputera buyers.

The 1,235-acre township has an estimated gross development value of RM5 billion and the entire development is scheduled for completion in 2022.

"The first homes in Alam Impian, which were launched in 2006, are already experiencing capital appreciation. Units from the early phases which cost around RM300,000 are now going in the region of RM400,000. This is testament to the strength, reputation and reliability of our projects," said Roszali. Another phase of 2-storey terraced houses will likely be launched early next year.

Setting itself apart from the other developments in the area, I&P aims to use Alam Impian as a dedicated platform to make arts enjoyable and experiential, building a community that inspires learning and celebrates creativity through its collaborative efforts.

With the concept of Township of the Arts, University Teknologi Mara (UiTM) students will manage the art activities and showcase their works to visitors, residents of Alam Impian and the overall community of Shah Alam.

Art pieces, ranging from sculptures and street art to graffiti walls will grace the streets of Alam Impian. Another artistic feature will be the art gallery, situated at the edge of a five-acre lake within the 31-acre town park of Alam Impian. The art gallery is scheduled to be ready sometime next year.

Alam Impian also offers a green environment with over 100 acres of greenery. "We did the layout of the houses in the area to ensure there will be green patches every 50m. We want to build a sustainable township, we are moving towards green development as encouraged by the government. Our future design might include rainwater harvesting and being more energy efficient, we will move step-by-step towards this. We are considering getting Green Building Index certification for our future phases," said Roszali.
