KUALA LUMPUR: KYM Holdings Bhd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak, for the establishment of a Heavy Industrial Park at Bagan Datoh.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Dec 1, it said the MoU signed via its subsidiary, KYM Development (Perak) Sdn Bhd, will involve the reclamation of an area approximately 3,400 acres and construction of infrastructure requirements including a jetty or jetties.

It said, the project is strategically located near the proposed development of a iron ore distribution centre and pellet plant at Teluk Rubiah.

Both parties will jointly evaluate the feasibility of the project and carry out its development and construction. — Bernama
