KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd has sweep away six awards for all categories for Malaysia awarded at the 8th Asiamoney Corporate Governance Poll at an awards gala night held in Hong Kong recently.

Mah Sing said in a press release that it was named Malaysia's Overall Best Company for Corporate Governance, Malaysia's Best for Disclosure and Transparency, Malaysia's Best for Responsibilities of Management and the Board of Directors, Malaysia's Best for Shareholders' Rights and Equitable Treatment, Malaysia's Best for Investor Relations and Malaysia's Best for Investor Relations Officer.

Asiamoney, a regional financial magazine, conducted the poll which saw participation from CEOs, CIOs, senior executives, heads of research and senior analysts from fund management and brokerages across Asia excluding Japan.

Mah Sing was represented by the group managing director's executive assistant Jane Leong, who said that Mah Sing establishes long-term relationships with its investors, business partners and customers, which is achieve through trust and transparency via best practices and delivering on our promises.

Asiamoney deputy publisher Lee Mee Ling said that the Corporate Governance Polls is an evaluation of the corporate governance standards in Asia Pacific and its results provide an objective overview of which companies complies with regulations as well as upholding on to shareholders' expectations.

Mah Sing Group has 17 years of property development expertise, developing 33 quality residential projects, prime commercial projects and innovative industrial project, focusing on the medium to high end property segments in Malaysia.

Mah Sing's niche is developing in Kuala Lumpur, Klang Valley, Penang Island and Johor Bahru. Among the awards which the Group had won in 2010 for its projects are the Cityscape Asia Real Estate Award 2010 for Best Developer, Waterfront Development (Future) for Southbay, Penang Island; 5 Stars Awards for Best Property (Malaysia and Asia Pacific) for One Legenda, Cheras; and Best Architecture for Legenda@Southbay, Penang Island at the Asia Pacific International Property Awards 2010 in association with Bloomberg Television.
