KUALA LUMPUR: Chung Tze Hien, a non-independent and non-executive director of Mudajaya Group Bhd, has resigned from his post on Thursday, Mar 17, the group announced to Bursa Malaysia on Thursday.

The 60-year-old had graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand with a commerce degree.

He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of the United Kingdom.

Chung had held senior managerial positions in companies involved in various industries in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia before joining Mulpha International Bhd.

He was appointed chief executive officer of Mulpha International on Feb 27, 2001. He is also the chairman of Mulpha Land Bhd, and a director of Mulpha Australia Ltd and Rotol Singapore Ltd.

Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Mudajaya said Lee Seng Huang has been appointed a non-independent and non-executive director of the group.

The 36-year-old — who was appointed executive chairman of Mulpha International Bhd on Dec 15, 2003 — had studied at the University of Sydney in Australia.

He has worked at Lippo China Resources Ltd in Hong Kong, Auric Pacific Group Ltd in Singapore and the Export and Industry Bank Inc of the Philippines.

He is currently the executive chairman of Sun Hung Kai & Co Ltd (which is listed in Hong Kong), chairman of FKP Property Group and a non-executive director of Ambrian Capital PLC.
