KUALA LUMPUR: MUI Properties Bhd saw a profit before tax (PBT) of RM8.8 million for FY2009 compared with a PBT loss of RM1.7 million for the preceding year. However, the group recorded lower revenue of RM17.5 million for FY2009 compared with the previous year’s RM30.4 million.

In its statement to Bursa Malaysia on Feb 24, the lower revenue was mainly due to unbilled sales in the group’s property development projects.

The group will continue to focus on its ongoing development project in Bandar Springhill in Negri Sembilan, which has seen increased interest following the announcement of plans to establish an education township there with UCSI University, it said, and therefore expects to perform satisfactorily for its FY2010.
