PUTRAJAYA: Felda has been urged to provide affordable and quality homes for the second and third generations of Felda settlers as well as repair the houses of those from the first generation.

This will ensure Felda settlers get better homes, said Coalition of Professional Felda Thinkers (Gaprof) panel member Datuk Khairil Anuar Aziz.

The proposal was among 12 resolutions passed at the Gaprof Convention in Melaka recently which was attended by about 300 participants, he told reporters after handing over the resolutions and the names of Gaprof panel members to the Prime Minister's Office here on Tuesday, Oct 25.

The resolutions were received by Prime Minister's Department publicity director (Felda) Datuk Noor Ehsanuddin Mohd Harun Narrashid as a special representative to the prime minister.

Khairil Anuar, who also is GSSB Consulting chief executive officer, said the convention also proposed the setting up of the Felda Bank and the Felda University.

Other Gaprof penal members appointed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak are Higher Education Ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Rahim Md Noor, Prime Minister's Department senior deputy secretary-general Datuk Othman Mahmood and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Khairudin Abdul Hamid. — Bernama
