Salcon’s maiden project sees strong take-up

KUALA LUMPUR: Salcon Bhd’s maiden project rés 280 is off to a good start, with 70% of the units sold during its launch on Oct 6.

The leasehold small office-home office (SoHo) development is located in Selayang. It comprises 280 two-bedroom and two-bathroom units. The built-up ranges from 845 sq ft to 890 sq ft and prices average at RM495 psf.

“rés 280 provides dual purpose space for a balanced lifestyle of resort living and/or working space to first-time owners at an attractive and reasonable price,” said Salcon executive director Datuk Eddy Leong Kok Wah in a statement.

Water and wastewater solutions provider Salcon is developing the project with Mepro Holdings Bhd through their joint venture company Azitin Venture Sdn Bhd.

The SoHos are part of an integrated commercial development — a 21-storey building comprising one level of basement car park and 12 units of 2-storey shop offices. The project is coming up on a one-acre plot and has a gross development value of RM154 million.

According to a company spokesman, the shop offices were sold en bloc for RM19 million.

“The SoHo concept also appeals to the younger generation as this can suit their work-from-home lifestyle besides having complete facilities and infrastructure provided at a strategic location,” said Leong.

The group recently acquired two tracts of land in Johor, measuring 12.72 acres (5.1ha). The tracts are slated for a RM1.2 billion mixed commercial project, which will be jointly developed with Ecoworld Development Sdn Bhd.
