KUALA LUMPUR: The Chung Ying Street Project, the first-ever large-scale shopping mall in the Yan Tian district of Shenzen, China is expected to open in fourth quarter of 2010. Developed by Shenzhen Sha Tou Jiao Commercial Foreign Trade Co. Ltd, the retail complex includes a two-storey, six-storey and seven-storey blocks.
According to a statement by Colliers International on Friday, June 25, the shopping complex, with a total retail area of 13,043 sq m, will add a landmark shopping destination in the district, which would attract more visitors from mainland China. It would also serve as a destination for retailers from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan or other countries.
The Yan Tian district comprises many popular tourist spots and facilities, such as Xiaomeisha Sea Park and Minsk World.
The Chung Ying Street Project will have an integrated management system to prohibit the selling or distribution of counterfeit products. Such emphasis is crucial in building a good reputation and gaining consumers’ confidence to shop in the new retail complex, the statement said.
Colliers International has been appointed as the leasing agent for the project.
