Sime Property offerings well-received

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Property has achieved good sales for its recent residential property launches in the Klang Valley.

The Casa Rimba superlink homes in Melawati, Kuala Lumpur launched in December 2010 has been fully sold as of Feb 24. The 26 units have sizes ranging from 3,935 to 4,010 sq ft and tagged from RM1.38 million to RM2 million.

In Denai Alam, the launch of Mulberry Grove homes at end-January saw 70 of 130 double-storey link houses sold within one week. The houses come in nine designs, with build-ups of 2,531 sq ft to 3,464 sq ft. Each home has a price tag of between RM672,000 and RM1.25 million.

It also launched Avani terraced houses in Bandar Bukit Raja in January, where 90% or 174 units out of 194 homes were taken up as of Feb 24. The units were from 2,217 sq ft to 2,624 sq ft with prices ranging from RM438,000 to RM687,000.

Sime Darby Property plans to launch 15 projects with a gross development value of RM1.6 billion till June 30. Some of the new projects will take place in Melawati, Kuala Lumpur; in Denai Alam, Shah Alam; and in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang townships.

"Considering the diverse range of products and locations offered at our various townships, I believe we are providing homeowners and families with secure investments in improved living environments," said Datuk Tunku Putra Badlishah, Sime Darby Property managing director.

In Melawati, plans are in motion to unveil a mixed-use development called Quarza comprising 480 serviced apartment units atop a retail podium called Quarza. This will be launched in 3Q2011.

At Denai Alam, Sime Darby Property will build a mix of superlink, semi-detached and shop office developments. At Bandar Baru Raja, the developer is planning to launch two phases of 2½-storey link houses in the few remaining residential land parcels.

Theses new projects are on the back of its three successful launches at the same townships.
