Special Focus: Everything for the home at Janine

A name synonymous with fine furniture and furnishings, Janine has upped the ante with its newly refurbished showroom at Bangsar Shopping Centre in KL. The 6,000sq ft space takes furniture and furnishing showroom to a higher level with its new displays and a large library and accessories area.

“It’s a great place for people to come by and see what’s available in terms of fabrics and wallpaper,” says director Karina Merican of the showroom that was unveiled in August.

The showroom, she adds, has an extensive library of sample book from international design companies, allowing homeowners to discover a variety of materials from silk and cotton to linen and chenille — all in a myriad of colours and textures.

The showroom also boasts a large accessories area with fine china, crystal, embroidered linens, cushion and throws, mirrors, pictures, table lamps, clocks and vases for every room and space.

Here you’ll also find Designers Guild’s latest range of richly embroidered silk and highly textured velvet cushions as well as its Royal Collection of cushions sought-after by those intending to spruce up their home for the year-end festivities. There are also fun and appliquéd cushions and lambswool throws ideal for a nursery or children’s room as well as a collection of bath towels and bed linen. Additionally there are also candles, wrapping paper and gift bags available for sale at the showroom.

Janine also stays true to its tradition of carrying a selection of sofas and hand crafted furniture made from rich cherry wood, walnut and ash wood burl veneers, mahogany, teak and Malaysian tropical timbers. Noteworthy is the Duresta range of sofas from the UK.

The showroom also boasts a few room settings, each evoking different moods; for instance there is a dining room setting dressed in all white and paired with modern furniture.
