PETALING JAYA: About 80% of the first 177 residential units released for sale at Setia Eco Glades, Cyberjaya have been taken up following a balloting exercise on Aug 12.

About 500 registrants turned up for the balloting. The units comprise 80 link houses (from 2,400 sq ft), 91 semidees (from 3,100 sq ft) and six bungalows (from 4,500 sq ft).

The link houses are priced from RM1.044 million, semidees from RM1.6 million while the bungalows are priced from RM1.8 million and RM2.5 million, depending on location.

Registrants had to show proof (an acknowledgement letter from the bank) that they have submitted the relevant documents to the bank for a housing loan to be eligible for the balloting. The buyers include those living and working in Cyberjaya, said Setia Eco Glades Sdn Bhd CEO Koe Peng Kang.

The 268-acre (108ha) Setia Eco Glades, with a gross development value of RM3 billion, is located just next to the 400-acre Cyberjaya Lake Garden in Cyberjaya. Setia Eco Glades is a joint venture between S P Setia Bhd and Cyberjaya master developer Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd on a 70:30 basis.

It is S P Setia’s latest eco-concept master plan township project. The first was Setia Eco Park in Shah Alam.
Setia Eco Glades consists of eight “islands” surrounded by the “mainland”. Each island has its own theme and unique features. Koe expects the next launch for Setia Eco Glades to be within the next two months.

The developer will build an interchange between the development and the Putrajaya link, which is directly linked to the North South Central-Link (Elite) and Maju Expressway (MEX), which will cost RM35 million. Once the interchange is complete, Koe says it will take only 20 minutes to go to Kuala Lumpur and 15 minutes to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The project will take about six years to complete.
