Terengganu people staying in town area encouraged to apply for house

KUALA TERNGGANU: The people of Terengganu staying in the town area, but still do not own a house, are encouraged to apply for one, while those residing in the rural areas are encouraged to apply for land to build their house.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said said this was due to the shortage of land in the town area, which resulted in the government having to build affordable homes for them.

"Those staying in the rural areas can apply for housing lots or agriculture land because there is still land to be distributed to the people.

"However, those who have been given houses will not get the land," he said at the presentation of the e-Book to 454 Year Four students and land titles to residents in the Batu Rakit constituency here on Monday, Oct 3. — Bernama
