Umno Youth proposes My First Home scheme be extended to Kelantan

KOTA BHARU: Umno Youth will propose to the federal government to extend the My First Home initiative to Kelantan, said its chief Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar.

He said the proposal would be brought to the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

"Let Umno Youth be the driver for the needs of young people in Kelantan because despite ruling the state for 21 years, PAS has yet to build affordable houses for the people," he when opening Kota Baharu Umno Youth annual delegates meeting here on Friday, June 17.

Khairy said this failure of PAS was proof of its inability to do economic planning.

Under the My First Home initiative which was announced by the Prime Minister, youths earning RM3,000 and below a month get the chance to buy houses priced at RM220,000 and below without the need to make downpayments. — Bernama
