WCT post net profit of RM141 million for FYE 2010

KUALA LUMPUR: WCT Bhd closed its financial year ended December 21, 2010 (FYE 2010) with revenue and net profit of RM1.708 billion and RM141.154 million respectively.

Comparatively, it recorded net profit of RM147.09 million on the back of revenue of RM4.666 billion a year ago, it said on Friday, Feb 25 in a Bursa announcement.

For its fourth quarter, it posted revenue of RM437.67 million and net profit of RM41.89 million.

With the improved marco economic outlook and the launch of the Economic Transformation Programme by the government, it is confident of achieving satisfactory results for the current financial year.

It recommended a final dividend of 5.0 sen per share less 25% tax for the financial period under review, which will be subjected to shareholders approval at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting.
