The Klang Valley reported a total of 5,231 infections today. Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, which are part of the region, reported the lowest numbers of infections in 34 days.

While Kuala Lumpur and Selangor remain in Phase 1 of the NRP, more restrictions were loosened on business operations and social activities recently.  

Malaysia’s daily administered Covid-19 vaccine doses slipped to 441,100 on Aug 22 from 469,690 a day earlier.
