Axis REIT’s 9M dividend increases 13% to 15.6 sen per unit

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 20):  Axis Real Estate Investment Trust (Axis REIT) announced that its dividends for the nine-month ended Sept 30, 2014 has amounted to 15.6 sen per unit, which is 13% higher compared to the same period last year.

The dividends include 100% of the distributable gain of RM10.95 million from the disposal of Axis Plaza, which was completed on March 25, 2014.

WCT buying land in Selangor for RM115.4 mil

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 20): WCT Holdings Bhd is buying four pieces of vacant freehold land measuring a total of 220.74 acres in Bandar Serendah, Selangor for a total purchase consideration of RM115.4 million, or approximately RM12 per square feet.

The firm plans to undertake a mix-commercial development project on the said land, but said it is still at a preliminary stage.

Priceworth’s Lim becomes managing director of Bertam

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 17): Bertam Alliance Bhd has appointed Sabah businessman Lim Nyuk Foh as its managing director, a filing to Bursa Malaysia revealed today. Lim is also the managing director and founder of timber products manufacturer Priceworth International Bhd.

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 15): OSK Holdings Bhd has proposed to acquire OSK Property Holdings Bhd and PJ Development Holdings Bhd (PJD), confirming a report by TheEdge Markets.com this afternoon.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia this evening, OSK Holdings said it will acquire OSK Property at RM2 apiece and PJD at RM1.60 per share.
