KUALA LUMPUR (July 12): Boustead Holdings Bhd announced today Datuk Nonee Ashirin Mohd Radzi, Loong Caesar, Lt Gen (R) Datuk Fadzil Mokhtar and Abraham Verghese TV Abraham's appointments as independent non-executive directors.

Diversified group Boustead's filings to Bursa Malaysia today showed that their appointments will be effective on Monday (July 15). The filings showed that Nonee, Loong and Fadzil are trained lawyers.

Abraham, a trained accountant, is also a director in Tadmax Resources Bhd, Boustead said.

The group said Nonee is currently chairman of Global Turbine Asia Sdn Bhd and partner at Arthur Yeong Nonee Ashirin Advocates & Solicitors while Loong is founding and managing partner at Raslan Loong, Shen & Eow.

According to Boustead, Fadzil served in the Malaysian Armed Forces for more than 41 years, during which he held various senior command and staff positions.

He was the joint force commander between 2016 and 2018 prior to his retirement in 2018, it said.

Boustead's website indicates that the group's diversified businesses include plantation, property and pharmaceutical operations.
