Hulu Langat still the top COVID-19 red zone in the country

KUALA LUMPUR (April 2): Hulu Langat continues to be the red zone with the most number of COVID-19 cases, reported the Malay Mail based on Ministry of Health figures.

On March 31, the district recorded 265 cases and by April 1, the numbers went up to 273.

Meanwhile, Batu Pahat in Johor became the country's latest COVID-19 red zone yesterday as cases there went from 39 on March 31 to 44 on April 1.

There are currently 16 COVID-19 red zones.

Selangor has the most red zones with four, Johor and Kuala Lumpur have three red zones each, Perak has two, while there is one red zone each in Negri Sembilan, Kelantan, Sarawak and Sabah.

Bases on data available on April 1, the news portal reported that the number of COVID-19 cases in the 16 red zones are: Hulu Langat (273), Lembah Pantai (249), Petaling (242), Kuching (128), Seremban (124), Johor Bahru (118), Kluang (111), Kepong (91), Kota Bharu (82), Titiwangsa (80), Kinta (77), Klang (76), Gombak (63), Tawau (63), Hilir Perak (60), and Batu Pahat (44).

The red zones account for a total of 1,881 COVID-19 cases.
