KUALA LUMPUR (May 15): Nine fish stalls at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) wet market (pictured) here will be closed from today to Monday for cleaning and disinfection after a trader was tested as Covid-19 positive, reported The Star today.
"Since then, we have cordoned off the fish section and those who have come in close contact with the family (of the trader) have been asked to undergo home quarantine,” said Jenny Loo, chairman of Persatuan Kebajikan Peniaga Kecil Pasar Besar Taman Tun Dr Ismail.
The report also stated that the fish trader and his family had been admitted to hospital for Covid-19 infection.
The association also called on TTDI market traders and helpers to go for Covid-19 tests at the Batu Muda community centre.
Meanwhile, a spokesman from Kuala Lumpur City Hall clarified with the daily that “only the nine stalls at the fish section have been ordered to close, not the entire market”.
