Covid-19: Malaysia sees deadliest day with 12 fatalities, as new cases surge to 1,054

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 3): Malaysia saw its deadliest day of the Covid-19 pandemic today as it reported 12 new fatalities, all of them in Sabah, bringing cumulative deaths in the country to 263. 

This is the highest number of fatalities in a single day since the pandemic struck the nation in January. 

New Covid-19 cases totalled 1,054, compared with 834 yesterday, taking the total number of cases to date to 34,393, according to the health ministry. 

The total number of active cases climbed to 10,135, while 875 patients were discharged today, raising total recoveries to 23,995 or 69.8% of total cases.
