Covid-19: 95.4% of Malaysian adults fully vaccinated as of Nov 16

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 17): A total of 22,332,571 individuals or 95.4% of the adult population of the country had completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of Tuesday (Nov 16).

Based on the Ministry of Health’s COVIDNOW portal, they were among 22,882,504 individuals or 97.7% of the adult population who had received at least one dose of the vaccine.

As for adolescents, 81% or 2,549,437 individuals had completed their vaccination. They were among 87.2% or 2,743,176 teenagers who had received at least one dose of the vaccine.

A total of 121,232 doses of the vaccine were administered on Tuesday, consisting of 25,439 second jabs, 6,707 first shots and 89,086 booster doses.

This brought the cumulative number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 51,455,404.
