KUALA LUMPUR: Asia Pacific Land Bhd (AP Land) and HELP International Corp Bhd has formed a joint-venture company to conduct and provide education across the whole spectrum of educational levels and fields.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on May 12, the developer said the equal-shareholding JV company is eyeing businesses in all parts of the world. The joint-venture and working agreement was signed on the same day.

The JV company will have an initial paid-up share capital of RM2 divided into two shares of RM1 each to be held equally by the parties. Both AP Land and HELP International will equally finance any further increases in the issued and paid-up share capital of the JV company.

“The joint venture will allow the AP Land group to fast track the growth of its education division, to complement its core business of property development,” the developer said in the filing.

Established in 1961, AP Land is a renowned property developer in Malaysia. HELP International Corp was incorporated in 2005 and is the holding company for companies operating various businesses, primarily in the field of education.
