KUALA LUMPUR: Penang-based property developer Asas Dunia Bhd made a net profit rose to RM3.7 million in its first quarter ended March 31, 2010 (1QFY10), versus a net loss of RM653,000 the previous year on higher revenue.
A filing to Bursa Malaysia on Monday May 17 showed that Asas Dunia’s revenue for the quarter jumped 371.3% to RM18.85 million, from RM4 million a year earlier, due to increase in sales of completed properties.
Its basic earnings per share was 1.92 sen, froma loss per share of 0.34 sen the previous year. It did not declare any dividend.
