KOTA KINABALU: Bristeel Properties Sdn Bhd confirmed on Thursday, Dec 23 the purchase of 3.29ha land at the Palm Oil Industrial Cluster (POIC) in Lahad Datu.

Managing director William Chee said the Kota Kinabalu-based company would be constructing 17 units of small-medium enterprise light industrial warehouses.

"The signing of the sales and purchase agreement is testimony of Bristeel Properties' confidence in POIC Lahad Datu and the future of Lahad Datu in general," he said in a statement.

He said POIC Lahad Datu was set to grow rapidly in the coming years, mainly due to national attention on developing the palm oil downstream industry.
