PENANG: Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) launched the final tower of its 18 East at Andaman project on Jan 31.

The tower is part of E&O’s Seri Tanjung Pinang master plan development in Penang that was launched in 2005.

“Seri Tanjung Pinang has matured into a thriving community that has become a highly sought-after prime residential address. Today E&O is extending its reputation for luxury and innovation by unveiling its most outstanding offering in Penang to date, the final condominium tower, 18 East at Andaman,” said E&O Property Penang head of sales and marketing Christina Lau in a statement recently.

The RM650 million 18 East at Andaman sits on 21 acres (8.5ha) of land in the northeastern cape of Seri Tanjung Pinang.

The final tower has 210 one- to three-bedroom units with built-ups ranging from 877 sq ft to 2,824 sq ft, and 4,202 sq ft to 4,351 sq ft for penthouses. The units are priced from RM1,000 per sq ft.

Out of the 21 acres, seven acres are lush greenery, while 4.5 acres accommodate a water park that is already completed and ready for residents.

Facilities include a formal signature pool, spa pool with massage pavilions, adventure pool with water slides and islands, sandy beach pool and fully-equipped water-play area.

Others are a gym, a tennis court, 1.4km jogging and cycling tracks, and a two-storey 14,000 sq ft resort-style clubhouse.

The facilities reflect E&O’s reputation as a boutique lifestyle developer.

“Overseas visitors have remarked that they cannot believe such luxury of open space and superb facilities are offered in a private condominium as it resembles a tropical hotel resort,” said Lau.

This is further enhanced by the introduction of a premier card reserved for 18 East residents.

The premier card offers privileges at the iconic E&O Hotel, Lone Pine Hotel, Straits Quay and the completed water park even before the possession of their units, said Lau.
