Foster+Partners wins competition in Luxembourg

KUALA LUMPUR: Foster+Partners wins a competition to design Luxembourg Royal Hamilius, a mixed-development project in the heart of the city of Luxembourg.

The design house will be marrying its design with the city's Unesco World Heritage Site, and will comprise of a department store, offices, shops, apartments and various social and civic spaces. The anchor to this development will be the historic Hotel des Postes.

"We are delighted with this excellent result and look forward to further developing the scheme," said senior partner Stefan Behling, "Balancing the classical and the modern, the magnificent Hotel des Postes will be complemented by a sky garden and futuristic bar — this, we hope, will be an exciting new destination for the people of Luxembourg."

It is hoped that the new development will provide entertainment spaces as well as variety of stores, activities like ice skating and modern designs.























The project is developed by Codic International a real estate developer in Europe. The company was founded in 1970 and is based in Brussels, Belgium.
