KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 8): GE Lighting has partnered LBS Bina Group Sdn Bhd to provide energy-saving  light emitting diode (LED) solutions at the developer's high-end development D'Island Residence in Puchong, Selangor.

The estimated savings from the LED solution for D'Island Residence in terms of energy usage and maintenance costs will be about US$181,692 (RM552,976) per annum.

""Our LED bulbs and signage systems are proven green solutions for high quality illumination with lower energy usage and that is easy to maintain. Our solutions provide a more sustainable, long term approach for our clients," said GE Lighting Malaysia country manager O Swee Aun in a statement on Jan 8.

The LED lighting solutions covers compound lighting within the development as well as for the entrance signage.

Meanwhile, Datuk Lim Hock San, LBS Bina Group managing director is confident that the solution specified will meet the developer’s expectations of  “exceptional lighting output and reduced energy usage and environmental impact."

LBS Bina's first high-end development, D'Island Residence is being developed on 175 acres of leasehold land and comprises 237 super link homes, 298 semi-detached homes, 148 bungalows, 352 high-end condominiums and a commercial hub. The development has a gross development value (GDV) of RM3.6 billion and is expected to be completed in 2019. It also features a clubhouse.

LBS Bina developments include The Lake Residence and Taman Perindustrian Tasik Perdana in Puchong and Somerset Square in Cameron Highlands.
