KUALA LUMPUR: Hua Yang Bhd has sold enbloc 73 retail units in its One South mixed-development in Sungai Besi to South Crest Synergy Sdn Bhd for RM105 million. The retail units' gross development value (GDV) is RM105 million.

"We are confident of South Crest anchoring the street mall and providing a good tenant mix of retailers and F&B operations at One South," said Hua Yang CEO Ho Wen Yen.

South Crest Synergy's track record includes bulk purchases and securing tenants for Equine Boulevard, PJ21, Melaka Riverfront and Melaka Empire.

Photo: Hua Yang"We are looking at securing retail outlets, restaurants, pharmacies, kiosks, medical clinics, sport outlets to complement the lifestyle element of One South," said South Crest Synergy director Thomas Ong.

The retail units take up the ground and first level of 6 and 8-storey buildings. The other levels will be office units.

The retail and office units are part of Phase 1 of the One South project. Phase 1 sits on 4.3 acres and will have 384 units of shop offices. The built-up of the office and retail units are from 479 to 2,100 sq ft and prices start from RM350 psf to RM750 psf.

The entire One South development sits on 17.89 acres of leasehold land and is the key revenue driver for the Group, as the development represents a large portion of the RM1 billion worth of projects the Hua Yang is rolling out.
