KUALA LUMPUR: i-City in Shah Alam plans to usher in the Year of the Rabbit with nightly performances starting from Saturday, Jan 29 and climaxing on Chap Goh May (Feb 17) with a spectacular fireworks show.

"The City of Digital Lights is an ideal venue for families to visit," says i-City corporate communications manager Tang Soke Cheng. "We will host performances that the entire family can enjoy. We welcome all Malaysians to join in this festive celebration lined up with an array of multi-cultural programmes."

The start of the performances from 6pm onwards on Jan 29 will feature DJ Mike spinning his tunes and engaging visitors in fun games.

i-City has also erected a 6m x 12m stage for cultural performances at its i-Walk area, which is a 30,000 sq ft air-conditioned outdoor arena. There will also be lion dances, acrobatics, wushu and local artistes' performances.

Visitors can also step into Snowalk, a snowy wonderland of 50,000 sq ft of real snow with ice-sculptures to see. Menteri Besar of Selangor Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim is expected to join the Chap Goh May celebrations.
