KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd received four awards at the Asia Pacific International Property Awards 2011 that was held in Shanghai recently.

Among the awards won was the 5 Star Award for Best Industrial Development Asia Pacific for the i-Parc 3@ Bukit Jelutong, and will represent the region on the world level, competing against other high scoring companies from Europe, Africa, the Americas and Arabia. The ultimate World's Best in each category will be unveiled when the final results are revealed at London's Savoy Hotel on Dec 12.

Mah Sing was also awarded Highly Commended Retail Development Malaysia for Star Avenue@D'sara, Highly Commended Mixed-Use Development Malaysia for Southbay City Penang and Highly Commended Developer Website Malaysia for www.mahsing.com.my.

Mah Sing group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum said that being awarded at a regional level and to represent Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region on the global stage reaffirms its status as a premier lifestyle developer.

"It is indeed an honour to be recognised for what we do but more importantly it is testament to the talent and passion of our entire organisation, which is committed to delivering innovative concepts, high quality and exceptional service. These awards have not only given us the recognition but also the encouragement for us to perform better," he said in a press release.

This is the fifth consecutive year Mah Sing has swept awards from the Asia Pacific International Property Awards. The company was also recently named Top Property Developer at the inaugural BCI Asia Top 10 Awards — and earlier this year, it was named Best Brand in the Property Category at The BrandLaureate 2010-2011 Awards for the third consecutive year.

Each year, the Asia Pacific International Property Awards, held in association with Bloomberg TV, sets out to identify the very best real estate professionals across the globe. The judging panel, consisting of more than 60 professionals, was chaired by Lord Bates of Langbaurgh. This year's judges included Google UK account manager James Bacon; National Federation of Property Professionals group chief executive Peter Bolton King; David Dalby of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); and Mike McNamara of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
