SEREMBAN (May 15): The first round of the Malaysia Property Expo (Mapex) at the Seremban Parade here from May 18-20 will feature 17 developers and two related industry players.

The expo is organised by the Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (Rehda) Negeri Sembilan.

Rehda Negeri Sembilan chairman S Sivanyanam said 2,291 properties of various types will be up for sale.

He added that with an estimated value of RM671 million, it shows more properties had been launched in the first half of this year, compared with the same periods of 2010 and 2011 at RM358 million and RM459 million respectively.

The Mapex theme is "Everyone Can Own".

Sivanyanam said purchasers should take the opportunity to visit the booths of all participating developers and choose products of their choice and value with prices of property continuing to increase over the last year or so.

He said house buyers who sign the sale and purchase agreement during the three days of the expo and complete the purchase are entitled to a Touch 'n Go card worth RM110 as well participate in lucky draws.

"Developers themselves are offering many other incentives. Buyers are urged to visit the developer's booths and find out for themselves who is offering what," he added. — Bernama
