PETALING JAYA: Maymont Development Sdn Bhd is confident of a full take up of its Matahari Luxury Super Condo within six to eight months this year.

The construction of Matahari Luxury Super Condo, which is located at Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur began in 2007 and will be completed by end- 2011.

“Currently, 43% of the total units have been taken up, largely by local buyers for both investments and own stay,” said its head of sales, Prabu Ananthan in a media briefing on Jan 11, 2010.

The project has a total of 158 units including 17 penthouse units ranging from 3,909 to 10,823 sq ft. Located on a 5.2-acre freehold land, prices start from RM3.11 million. The estimated gross development value for the project is RM700 million.

The units are fully furnished and each average unit comes with three parking bays, while the penthouses will have four.

“We are currently looking at 6% (rental) yield per annum based on the current selling price,” he said.

Moving forward, Maymont’s head of marketing Chelvi Ananthan said the company has a few high-end projects in the pipeline but did not divulge details.
