KUALA LUMPUR: Mudajaya Group saw profit after tax and minority interest of RM50.6 million for 1Q2010, a rise of 260% compared with RM14 million over the same period last year. The construction company released its financial results for the quarter to Bursa Malaysia on May 12.
Mudajaya’s cumulative revenue stood at RM239.4 million for 1Q2010, an increase of 91% over the RM125.4 million in the same quarter last year.
Meanwhile, the shareholders’ fund as at March 31, 2010, was RM595.2 million, while its net assets per ordinary share of 20 sen each stood at RM1.45.
Mudajaya also declared a first interim dividend of 5% or one sen per ordinary share of 20 sen each under the single-tier system for FY ending Dec 31, 2010.
Mudajaya’s current on-going projects are the equipment procurement contract worth RM3.4 billion for the Chhattisgarh power plant project in India; the highway design and construction contract of the KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway valued at RM958 million; the building construction contract of Crest Jalan Sultan Ismail worth RM184.0 million; the building design and build contract of Boulevard Plaza Development, Putrajaya worth RM241.3 million; hospital construction contract of RM75.4 million in Pahang; design and build contract of the KLIA Spur Line Guideway extension valued at RM45.2 million; and hotel design and build contract of Tune Hotel, Danga Bay, Johor Bahru worth RM19.9 million.
