KUALA LUMPUR: Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd (SHSB), the master developer of Cyberjaya, has struck a major sale by signing up with Omni Assets Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Paramount Corp Bhd.

A signing ceremony for the sale and purchase of a residential land parcel measuring 20.23ha (50 acres) worth RM78.4 million was held on Tuesday, June 1 between SSHB and Omni Assets.

The agreement was signed by SHSB's Chief Operating Officer C K Lao, Paramount Corp Bhd's Managing Director Ong Keng Siew and its Property Division's Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ricque Liew Yin Chew.

In a statement on June 2, Lao said Cyberjaya is in the limelight with a promising outlook due to an increasing popularity for business and homes.

He said the company is confident that Paramount's project would attract more people to live in Cyberjaya and contribute significantly to the development of the township.

"The new MEX Highway has opened up the accessibility and attractions of the city to the whole Klang Valley," he added.

Lao said the company welcomes more leading reputable developers to Cyberjaya to be part of its team in developing the city of tomorrow. -- Bernama
