KUALA LUMPUR: The Selangor Executive Council has agreed to implement the Integrated Corporate Integrity System in the management and administration of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).

The state government would work together with Transparency International – Malaysia to guide and advise PKNS in drawing up, signing and implementing the system, Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said in a statement on Oct 20.

He said the Integrated Corporate Integrity System would complement PKNS efforts in enhancing efficiency and avoiding corruption risks. The system would also be able to raise public awareness on PKNS's management system, governance and business pattern, and directly lift the reputation and image of the state agency.

Khalid expects the system to be implemented in full by mid-2011.-Bernama
