PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Property will launch its latest residential project in Ara Damansara township in October.

Sime Darby Property managing director Tunku Datuk Putra Badlishah said on July 21 the Seri Pilmoor project is a gated and guarded development community.

The project would comprise of semi-detached and bungalow houses, he told reporters at the launch of its "Safe City" programme at Ara Damansara.

Home Affairs Minister, Datuk Seri Hishammudin Hussein and Deputy Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar officiated at the ceremony.

Sime Darby's “Safe City” initiatives in Ara Damansara include the construction of a RM1.1-million police station manned by at least four policemen at any one time.

The station has a RM2.2 million CCTV security system linked to 22 solar-powered cameras and is also linked to the Petaling Jaya police district headquarters. The developer also donated three vehicles for the police station's use.

Tunku Putra Badlishah said the new security features would be a value-added proposition for the residents and homeowners of Ara Damansara.

Its other on-going projects in the township include Ara Hill comprising of medium-rise condominiums and low-rise villas, to be completed by year-end and also the Oasis office and retail development launched in June.
