Overview
Simpang Renggam, a town located in the district of Kluang in the state of Johor is easily accessible from the Machap and the Simpang Renggam exits via the North-South Expressway. Additionally, there are also connecting roads from Ayer Hitam, Kluang and Benut. As a matter of fact, in the days before the opening of the North-South Expressway in 1994, the old main trunk road in Simpang Renggam was utilized by travelers going through to Johor.
Despite the number of years of development, Simpang Renggam has remained as a rather humble town. It houses the Simpang Renggam Behavioral Rehabilitation Centre along Jalan Renggam, which is the biggest drug rehabilitation center nationally, and also the headquarters for the Royal Malaysian Police Force.
Simpang Renggam is within close proximity to the amenities offered to the residents of Kluang, primarily thanks to its location in the Kluang district. Hospitals, primary and secondary schools and malls such as Kluang Parade and Kluang Mall are all within reach for the residents of Simpang Renggam.
