SINGAPORE: Singapore's richest man and property tycoon Ng Teng Fong died early on Tuesday after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage on Jan 23, a spokeswoman for his family business said. He was 82.
Ng was the head and patriarch of the unlisted Far East Organization, one of the three largest developers in Singapore alongside CapitaLand and City Developments.
He was also the founder of Hong Kong developer Sino Land, which is now headed by his son Robert Ng.
Forbes magazine said in September last year that Ng was Singapore's richest man with a net worth of US$8 billion. — Reuters
